What is Shift At Midnight?
Shift At Midnight is an online co-op detective horror game from solo developer Bun Muen. Across randomly generated night shifts at a convenience store you check the customers who walk in, because some of them are doppelgangers pretending to be human. One mistake and you are boarding up windows, setting traps and hiding.
It launched on Steam on 22 July 2026 for $8.99 and holds an 87% positive rating from more than 3,800 reviews. The developer has kept adding customers since launch, with 45 new ones in the August and September patches, and lobbies grew from three players to six.
